Dear members,

This is to inform you that we had a Board meeting in Paris, March 30. The minutes will be sent to all of you as soon as we can. A large part of this Board meeting was about the theme, content and organization of our next annual meeting. You can consider this mail as its first announcement.

Our next meeting will take place 25-27 October 2001, in Stockholm, at

The general theme is :

AOD information for young people

All the general session lectures are not yet totally settled, but we will have for sure, before entering our general theme, lectures that will inform us on the actual Swedish policy in the field of alcohol and drugs, in order to improve our knowlegde of the country hosting our meeting. Then a lecture on the State of the problem (youth consumption) in Europe (ESPAD epidemiological report) will introduce our general theme.

If you want to propose a lecture of European interest in relation with our general theme, you can submit it with our "Call for lectures form" (see attached file).

In addition to the general lectures session, we also propose three workshops :

1 Use and evaluation of prevention websites for young people
2 Use and evaluation of prevention tools in documentation centers
3 Ethical and political aspects of providing information to young people

You can already register your participation to the meeting by printing and filling out and sending the attached "Registration form".

The annual meeting is starting the 25^th October at 1.00 PM.

For your information, our meeting will be preceded by a Gateway group meeting, starting the 24^th afternoon and ending the 25^th at 12.00. A report on the work achieved by this working group will be giving Friday afternoon general session, together with the workshops reports.

I also remind you that, as usal, our annual meeting will be followed, on Saturday 26^th in the morning (from 9.00 AM to 13.00 PM) with our annual General Assembly of all members All Elisad members are strongly invited to participate in this meeting.

I will keep you informed on a more precise preliminary program as soon as possible.
