Gateway news 5 ( 23 April 2003)
I hope that you all had nice Eastern hollidyas!
I am sending you this news earlier than as usual, because I am going 9 days away, to my family in Elsass. I will be absent from 24 April til 3rd May.
As you already know through an e-mail sent by Susanna, the prototype is now online. And she wants me to start the prototype consultation.
I built a questionnaire which has been then completed afterwards by Susanna. I want to submit you this questionnaire. You will find it hereby. I would be happy if you could test this questionnaire and give me your feedback on it. Deadline for answering: Monday 5th May.
By the way, who has also feedback on the prototype?
I also designed 3 gateway layouts (the 3 different home pages are on our server). The choise to make is between the 3 different background colors : black, grey or dark blue.
I am waiting for your feedback and preference.
As on the server, only the home pages are presented, find at the end of this news, a complete set of three different interfaces of the black solution.
We have now 351 files in our Gateway!
Well more precisely 349, as two Spanish files have disappeared!
Hoping they will re-apppear again!

General remarks
- The biggest problems still remain the Portuguese and CEEs' websites...
- Italian files are not progressing...
Corrected files
Today, 183 files have been proof-red (45 more since end of March)
Reminder of some correct ways of writing:
- «centre» and not «center»
Proof-reading your files gave me this month the occasion of new remarks. Here are some of them
For the first time, I visited described websites (mainly to get addresses) and remarked that their content were no more coresponding to your description...
And this happened in about 5 files of several countries : UK, NL., etc. All these files were described last summer. Conclusion: the files deserve to be up-dated about every 6 to 9 months.
I also find a file, were the deep-linking into a drug section was no more existing.
I also find files were the URL was no more working...
This starts to really pause the problem of further regular up-dates...
Also don't hesitate to use this letter to announce all of your personal remarks, questions and suggestions that could serve to the other partners!
